About the role
The Site Engineer works for DCD Organization on construction and rehabilitation projects, reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Program Coordinator. The position is based in Dhanane, Somalia, and is a full time contract that may be renewed depending on performance and funding. One Somali national will be recruited for this role.
What you will do
- Supervise and monitor daily construction and rehabilitation work at the project sites.
- Prepare technical designs and drawings.
- Coordinate with contractors, community members, local authorities and the DCD program team to keep works on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure construction and rehabilitation works meet the required technical and quality standards.
What you need
- Somali national.
- Experience in planning, supervising and coordinating construction or rehabilitation projects is requested, as the role involves these tasks.
- Ability to prepare technical designs and drawings.
- Able to work with contractors, community members, local authorities and the program team.
